Camper conversions are a cool way to turn your ride into a custom motorhome. Most of the projects we’ve seen so far, opt to use SUVs and pickup trucks from renowned names in the business. However, Wolf Rigs pens a robust template around a Hummer H1. They call it the Patton and it’s a beast.

The allure of the great outdoors is a drug many cannot seem to get enough of. For those who hate the hike and hassle but want to experience the majestic beauty of nature, you’ll need a highly capable machine like the Patton. Wolf Rigs describes calls it a “go-anywhere overland comfort castle.”

A Hummer H1 is a beefy behemoth that can handle almost any challenge in its way. However, the donor vehicle is not exactly brimming with features for recreational expeditions. The familiar silhouette of the military-grade machine tells you that it means business.

However, the geometric camper on the Patton’s back suggests fun is likewise on the itinerary. Let’s face it, exterior looks don’t really matter that much to hardcore overlanding enthusiasts. Wolf Rigs constructs the frame and shell out of aluminum to keep the weight down, yet not compromise durability.

The rear doors open to reveal a spacious storage compartment. It holds a propane tank, a spare tire, jerry cans for water/fuel, a modular shovel, a telescoping ladder, and more. The aggressive angle of the underside allows the Patton to tackle steep inclines with no issues.

Inside, a queen-size bed sits above the front seats, a two-burner stove, a sink, a slide-out fridge, and more are available. Wolf Rigs will gladly install whatever you need for a bespoke layout within the Patton.
