With the release of their Proace Lerina Campervan, Toyota finally joins the #vanlife fever. The versatile van offers sleeping space for four and has all the amenities you need for a happy camping experience.

Featuring an interior designed by British converter Wellhouse Leisure, the vehicle uses floor rails that allow the rear bench to slide forward or backward depending on your layout needs. The bench folds to form a double bed, while the pop-up roof adds extra headroom and can be fitted with an optional double bed. In the back, there’s a full-height wardrobe for storage space, and when nature calls, a portable loo offers relief.

Campers also get access to a driver-side kitchen block with glass-top sink and stove, as well as a 25L fridge and fresh water tank. The Lerina comes with an electrical system with leisure battery, a 100-watt solar panel, electrical hookup, 2.2-kW heater, and optional features like two extra seats (creating a 6-seater) and an exterior awning with LED lights.

Based on the Proace Comfort model, the compact camper is 195 in (4.95 m) long and 80 in (1.98 m) tall, meaning it will easily fit in car parking spaces. It comes with either a 120-hp or 180-hp 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine and has satellite nav, cruise control, AC, and a 7-in infotainment display.
