TAXA Outdoors, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is one of the top manufacturers of lightweight campers and trailers in the country. Just added to their line of off-road adventure campers is the versatile TigerMoth Camp (~$13K).

Built on a laser-cut aluminum frame, the TigerMoth weighs just 900 lbs, easily light enough that most 4-cylinder vehicles can tow it with no problem. It features 12” of ground clearance thanks to its rugged 15” radial tires & torsion axle, while the large side hatch makes for easy loading and increased connection with the outdoors (the two windows help too). The exterior storage is provided by a roof rack system, tongue mounted toolbox, front cargo step, and roof cargo deck.

The interior can sleep two adult campers, and comes fitted with two 12 volt outlets and pre-wiring for solar panels which, if included, can give up to seven days of off-the-grid adventure. Energy saving LEDs offer lighting throughout, while a gravity-fed faucet and a 5 gal. water tank make sure you’ve got hydration covered. Furthermore, a pull out kitchen drawer provides 5.5 square feet of counter space and storage for cookwear. The inside is also fitted with multiple “NASA Inspired Storage” options, such as attach points, hooks, and bungees.

There are numerous options for the TigerMoth camper, including an exterior solar shower, a 5,000 BTU window air conditioner, and a YEI 45 Tundra Cooler, so even the pickiest camper will feel at home in the heart of the wilderness.
