Automotive electrification is truly upon us as new and exciting models pop up like crazy. Porsche recently announced the arrival of the Taycan, while Hyundai is likewise teasing the reveal of the 45 concept EV. We can safely say that there are even more that are about to make their debut at the 2019 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. However, some manufacturers can no longer wait and are jumping the gun ahead of the international automobile trade show. SEAT unveils the Cupra Tavascan and its certainly a looker.
For those wondering, SEAT is a Spanish automaker and one of the many companies owned by Volkswagen. The Cupra Tavascan is an all-electric SUV that’s still in its concept stages, gives us a preview of the amazing stuff in store for the production version. We’re loving the sleek and sporty aesthetics that looks aerodynamic no matter what angle you view it from. In fact, if the wheels were smaller and the profile a little lower, this can potentially be a stunning sports sedan.
Nonetheless, the set of 22-inch alloys in shape of turbines look absolutely classy with the rose gold accents. Other than the stylish LED headlamps, an illuminated logo of the brand sits under the grille. Additionally, diffuser out back mimics the form of the front fascia minus the grille and glowing emblem. SEAT claims that the Cupra Tavascan uses an all-wheel-drive system with electric motors that produce up to 302 horsepower. The zero-emission transmission can push the SUV from 0-60 in less than 6.5 seconds. Finally, the 77 kWh battery offers a range of up to 280 miles on a single charge.
