Now that the 2019 Monterey Car Week is over, it’s time to look forward to another exciting event next month. The 2019 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show is fast approaching so mark the dates from September 12 to 22 on your calendar. Hyundai is teasing a thrilling spectacle when it officially unveils its flagship all-electric new ride. The company is calling it the Hyundai 45 and we can’t wait to see what this EV has in store for the future. We can’t wait to see what other awesome news will come our way in the days leading up to the big reveal.

The Hyundai 45 teaser is a breath of fresh air in our opinion. Its a great opportunity for the South Korean carmaker to tell the world that it’s pledging support for zero-emission transportation. We’re not going to see a sudden shift from internal combustion engines to battery power, but it’s well on the way. In fact, electric-powered models are even gradually encroaching on supercar and hypercar territory.

Just recently, we featured the Drako GTE – a sleek and dynamic machine that can output up to 1,000 horsepower. Moreover, it’s doing it with a four-passenger configuration, which is practically unheard of among the EV scene. Meanwhile, we’re not sure if this is the direction the 45 will be taking for now.

Details surrounding the Hyundai 45 remains scarce for the now. However, interesting tidbits might surface in the next few weeks. For now, all we have to work with is an image of the rear that showcases the LED lights. This all-electric concept will be sharing the stage with the 2020 i10. A concept sketch of the latter is hinting at a sportier hatchback design, but spy photos reveal otherwise.
