Sony announced the PlayStation 4 back in February, but the Japanese company only revealed the actual design this week at E3 2013. Hot on the heels of Microsoft’s Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 is looking every bit as good as its rival, and in some respects at least is more appealing.
For a start, the PlayStation 4 will not require daily confirmations online to continue playing, while second hand games will be completely unrestricted (two things Microsoft has irked gamers with). The PS4 will also cost $100 less than the Xbox One when it launches this winter, and will retail at $399.
Not bad for a games console that packs 8GB of RAM, is basically a PC under the hood, and comes with cloud gaming and a slew of other cool features. We have to say that it also looks an imposing console, so it will always look slick in your house. Now just bring on the games!
