OcGarage founder Oscar Tasso has a passion for engines that drives his career. Experts in the field have gone so far as to call some of his bikes “perfect.” His latest project, the BMW R100 GS Avventura Motorcycle is a clear example of why that happens.

Starting with a vintage BMW 1992 GS, the Italian customizer completely rebuilt the engine and merged it with components from an R series motorcycle. The combination provides more power than either alone. For three-point strength and stability, Oscar machined the hubs from 6082 alloy steel. There is a single adjustable Ohlins shock in the rear, in place of a more traditional fork.

Externally the sidecar is sheeted in rich mahogany wood over a lightweight aluminum frame, resembling the looks of a fine yacht. Inside, the padded leather seat holds its rider comfortably, while the large cargo compartment in the rear offers storage for gear. We hear that ‘Avventura’ already has an owner, and he’s “planning to use the motorcycle for exploring some of Italy’s finest roads.” That’s exactly what we’d do!
