Ditch the plastic chopping board and flimsy kitchen knives with this new product from outdoors design brand Full Windsor called MagKnives. It offers a chef knife and a utility knife stored inside a travel-safe magnetic wood case that separates into two chopping boards.
Both the 6″ chef knife and 3.5″ utility knife have a full tang for strength and durability, with the former ideal for big tasks yet compact enough for fine control. Then the utility knife, inspired by Japan’s petty knife, is nimble and precise, making it ideal for detailed prep work.
MagKnives offers knives crafted from high-grade 1.4116 German stainless steel, which offers excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and superior rust protection. Then its G10 composite anti-slip textured handle is lightweight yet incredibly strong and water-resistant. It provides a secure grip even in wet and slippery conditions. Then the aluminum anodized washers and a lanyard hole round up the knives’ features.
Meanwhile, the chopping boards come from sustainable FSC-certified Beech and eco-friendly heat-pressed wood fiber composite. It is scratch resistant and resistant to warping and cracking while being gentle on knives. Both boards preserve the sharp edges of knives and resist dulling.
Moreover, both materials are naturally antibacterial. Their fine, tight grain absorbs moisture and traps bacteria, which ultimately dry and die. The natural tannins in beech also helps kill bacteria like E. coli and Listeria much faster. Conveniently, MagKnives comes with its dedicated carrying sleeve.
The sleeve is made with specialty outdoor TPU fabric with a non-slip surface texture and a high-strength Velcro welded to the fabric. It doubles as a prep mat when unfolded and has a grab handle for portability.
