One of the greatest marks of a successful enterprise is repeated business and that’s what was shown to Florida’s customizer East Coast Defender when a former client commissioned them to build him a second, more aggressive Land Rover than his first.

Named for one of the more fearless and aggressive beasts in nature, the ‘Honey Badger’ started life as a normal Defender 90 until Scott Wallace of ECD got it into the Rover Dome. He matched a 6.2 liter Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine pushing 430 horsepower to a six-speed Chevrolet T56 manual transmission and then boosted the transfer case with a limited differential for superior control over any terrain it crosses. The ‘Honey Badger’ was then fitted with a full roll cage and 18″ Sawtooth wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires.

Although this is one of the toughest Land Rovers ECD has created, it’s still luxury-filled inside with classic Moal Bomber gauges, Kenwood infotainment center a backup camera, JBL speakers and subwoofer, LED lighting, MOMO Quark steering wheel, and leather Corbeau seats. There is no reason to be uncomfortable however rough the country is that this solid 4X4 decides to conquer!
