Restmods are great, but it’s totally different when the actual manufacturer takes matters into its own hands. Just take a look at this Defender Works V8 Trophy II from Land Rover Classic. This limited-edition model celebrates the marque’s accomplishments over the years.

At first glance, the exterior flaunts a camouflage pattern in various tones of gray over a white backdrop. However, a close-up inspection reveals silhouettes of 23 locations wherein Land Rover made a name for itself courtesy of its machines’ outstanding capabilities.

All of these off-road expeditions span more than 70 years. The renowned British marque continues to supply adventurous souls with a reliable ride. As the name tells us, the Defender Works V8 Trophy II is the second exclusive project under its Classic banner.

Under the hood of this overlanding beast is a 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The Defender Works V8 Trophy II powertrain produces 400 horsepower with 379.84 lb-ft of torque and courses all of it to four 18-inch Sawtooth alloy wheels.

To match its extreme capabilities, Land Rover Classic endows the Defender Works V8 Trophy II with suspension, braking, and handling upgrades. It flaunts a rugged profile courtesy of its roof racks, fender flares, an A-frame with a winch, a custom front grille, and LED light bar for superior low-light visibility.

Inside, Recaro sports seats upholstered in Windsor leather with contrast stitching welcome you. Traditional timekeeping comes from the Elliot Brown analog dashboard clock. The dial even flaunts a similar camouflage pattern as the Defender Works V8 Trophy II. Land Rover Classic plans to produce only 25 examples in 90, 110, and 110 Double Cab trims.
