As the spiritual successor to the Starex, Hyundai’s STARIA has a big shoe to fill. So far, sales numbers indicate a favorable outcome for the new minivan. It looks like the South Korean carmaker has exciting plans for this platform. Outdoor recreation appears to be the target segment for the STARIA Camper Concept.

The motorhome in question not only flaunts a sleek outline but also promises a green motoring experience. Given the growing popularity of eco-friendly RVs for extended off-grid adventures, Hyundai might have a winner here. According to reports, the project is building around the STARIA Electric.

“Its advanced 800-volt high-voltage architecture – already proven in IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, and IONIQ 9 – enables DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in around 20 minutes under optimal conditions,” reads the press release. The STARIA Camper Concept likewise benefits from the reliable performance of its 160 kW front-wheel-drive system.

Attendees at the 2026 CMT in Stuttgart, Germany, which opened last weekend and runs until January 25, 2026, can view it in person. Moreover, the manufacturer encourages everyone to share their opinions about the emission-free camper van concept. Europe is a lucrative market for RVs in general.

Fascinating features to watch out for include a motorized pop-up roof, a large awning, photovoltaic panels, a kitchen area, a portable shower, climate control, and more. Smart glass technology allows owners to adjust the transparency of the windows to enhance privacy. It also minimizes UV exposure and noise.

As of our writing, there is no hint of customization options. However, we believe the STARIA Camper Concept will eventually offer modular systems that clients can choose. Nonetheless, what we have here seems to be adequate for extended off-grid fun.
