The brief of the project was pretty straightforward. The owner wanted a simple, timeless motor yacht, with a strong focus on functionality and all the right amenities to ensure perfectly enjoyable family vacations all over the globe. Turkish company Alia Yachts did exactly what they had been asked for, and in the summer of 2015, the beautiful Ruya luxury yacht was finally launched.
The name of the vessel means “Dream”, which is actually quite an appropriate description for it as well. Ruya’s exterior is well proportioned, with lovely curved shapes that follow the sketches of designer Sam Sorgiovanni. An excellent proof of Sorgiovanni’s exceptional talent is the surprisingly generous space that the decks afford. It is actually difficult to believe that this is in fact an only 135-foot yacht.
The sundeck boasts 1,001 square feet of space and even holds a large Jacuzzi for ten, a large family dining area, and a full bar. Formal alfresco dinners can be enjoyed on the bridge deck aft, while the foredeck welcomes passengers in a more relaxed ambiance, with stunning panoramic views.
For the interiors, things were kept casual and tasteful, with slight tropical influences, such as bamboo and other tropical materials. For extra uniqueness, the yacht was fitted with a variety of custom furnishings, as well as other state-of-the-art amenities. There is an astonishing master suite for the owners, while ten extra guests can be comfortably accommodated in the lower deck cabins.
