As great partnerships go, the team-up between DOXA and Aqua Lung has produced some rare and desirable diver watches. For the gear manufacturer’s 75th Anniversary they have come together again to reissue a modern version of the iconic DOXA SUB 300 dive watch in a very limited edition.

Like the original, the new timepiece resides in a 42.5mm stainless steel cushion case and features the bright orange dial face with the Black Lung logo and the classic DOXA hands. Inside is a chronometer-spec ETA 2824 movement. This new iteration has a well-domed sapphire crystal replacing the acrylic of the original. The bezel’s serrated edge displays dual-purpose engravings for elapsed time and the DOXA ‘no-decompression’ scale.

With a screw-down crown, screw-in caseback, and four gaskets, the Black Lung is water resistant down to almost 1,000 feet (300 meters). Limited to a mere 300 units and rumor has it that they are already bespoken within the first day of availability.
