If you like to mix your swimming sessions with the chance of being crushed to a pulp by billions of gallons of water or mangled by a 200FT fall, then we have found the pool for you. Ominously named the Devils Pool, this naturally formed swimming area is located at the top of Victoria Falls, Livingstone Island, Zambia. Located at the top of one of the falls high drops, the pool has been attracting tourists and daredevils for decades. Yes, the risk is very real; just ask the people who have died over the years thanks to the proximity to the drop, not to mention the currents.
At certain points of the year the water lowers and a natural rock barrier forms, making the Devils Pool safer. If you want to swim in peril, go here, but even if you don´t you should just visit for the amazing scenery.
