Bugatti is certainly hogging the limelight in 2019 with enough outstanding achievements and milestones to make the luxury marque memorable. Earlier this year, the carmaker introduced the world to the most expensive automobile with the La Voiture Noire. What follows next is a celebration of its 110th anniversary with the exclusive Centodieci. Finally, to cap it all off, we have a custom Chiron Sport breaking the 300 mph barrier for a street-legal hypercar. Hence, to our astonishment, the next achievement on the list comes in the form of the Bugatti Baby II.

The name definitely gives it away, but for those of you wondering what it’s all about, here is a fancy car for children. The brand is synonymous with high-performance, speed, and insane power. This is why the Bugatti Baby II is such an unexpected surprise. It’s apparently a continuation of the carmaker’s tribute to 110 amazing years of automotive excellence. What better way to pay homage to its racing roots than with a scaled-down version of the iconic Type 35.

The Bugatti Baby II comes in a striking blue coat that adds a modern touch to an otherwise vintage form. Despite being a children’s car by description, the carmaker promises enough room to allow both kids and adults to drive this cool replica around the block. This all-electric ride packs exceptional features such as a regenerative braking system and a limited-slip differential. For additional safety, owners can toggle the child mode setting, which limits the top speed to around 12.5 mph. However, when it’s time for big babies like us to drive, we can enjoy speeds of up to 28 mph instead.
