Porsche Design may have one of the most creative speaker designs in recent memory with the 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro. It’s not every day that you see an actual exhaust system from a 992 GT3 turned into an audio entertainment platform. Not to be outdone, Bowers & Wilkins debuts its own avant-garde entry dubbed the Zeppelin McLaren Edition.

It’s already apparent where this is all going as the distinct outline of this wireless speaker resembles that of an iconic airship. Interestingly enough, without the stabilizers, it looks more like a “pigskin” used in American football albeit stretched beyond its normal dimensions.

In short, the Zeppelin McLaren Edition is likely to become a conversation piece when not in use. Bowers & Wilkins is a name synonymous with high-end performance and superior craftsmanship, which, in a sense, mirrors the ethos of its collaborative partner.

McLaren’s highly coveted vehicles are also equipped with sound systems supplied by its fellow British brand. With this in your home, you can enjoy curated acoustic fidelity with an automotive pedigree behind each playback. The Zeppelin McLaren Edition is available in Galvanic Grey and Papaya Orange.

Within its sleek housing resides a powerful subwoofer, FST midrange drivers, and double dome tweeters. It can directly stream music from Spotify Connect, Last.FM, Deezer, Pandora, Qobuz, and TIDAL. Pair it with your supported devices via Bluetooth, or use AirPlay 2 for Apple platforms.

The Zeppelin McLaren Edition measures 25.6” x 7.6” x 8.3” (W x D x H) and weighs 14.33 lbs. Only 60 units are available for purchase given it’s a commemorative release to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its co-brand. Special badging can be found on the stand and rear of the speaker.
