The Assemble House is a very intriguing lake-side home built by PAR Arquitectos beside Rapel Lake, Las Cabras, O’Higgins Region, Chile. At first glance it seems unfinished but that is the purpose of the architect, to show the beams and pillars constructed on the outside of the structure, thus giving an open look to all the exterior walls.
The structure consists of two long sections crossed in the middle. At the join is the communal living area with bedrooms and service areas in three of the ends. The fourth end is open on two sides and is pointed out toward the lake. There’s a built-in stone fireplace for cooking & grilling, and plenty of room for chilling and enjoying the lake views. Full-wall windows and a skylight help enhance the airy look of this playful dwelling.
