For motorcycle enthusiasts who are ready to take the plunge into green mobility, the choices available now are substantially larger than before. Even the biggest names in the business are expanding their catalog with eco-friendly models. Meanwhile, AOTOS is currently crowdfunding the Flux X26 Pro and promising a versatile platform.

As the Kickstarter page tells us, the company made its debut at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. We also pointed out earlier that there were plenty of battery-electric rides on display at the event. Perhaps the sheer number of concepts and prototypes made us miss out on the Flux X26 Pro.

Thankfully, this project is now fully funded at $660,638, which is already beyond the team’s $100,000 goal. As of our writing, there are 426 backers with 46 days left before the campaign ends. AOTOS considers the electric two-wheeler as a class of its own.

Basically, it performs just as well in urban landscapes and over rough terrain. At its core is a robust frame crafted out of aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum. This keeps the chassis lightweight yet remarkably robust. The manufacturer says it is tough enough to withstand up to 74 lb-ft of torque.

The Flux X26 Pro is packing a 1,500W motor with a peak power output rated at 2,000W. To keep things smooth over any surface, AOTOS equips the e-moto with a motorcycle-grade, dual suspension setup. The unit runs in Class-2 mode by default, which keeps the top speed at 20 mph.

Activate Class-3 mode to hit 28 mph. Your Flux X26 Pro can likewise handle exposure to the elements like champ. To keep your bike safe, it relies on real-time GPS tracking and an optional mechanical lock. Finally, a full charge of its battery lasts up to 70 miles.
