Ant Design reinvents the screwdriver with the Apex V2, a modular tool boasting a slim, robust titanium frame. It features swappable modules that cater to different tasks in a lightweight yet strong Grade5 titanium chassis. Each module swaps in three interchangeable bit magazines, extension bars, and an everlasting pencil bit.
Its five-bit magazine is ideal for everyday fixes and comes with an array of Phillips, flathead, square, and Torx bits. You can swap out the stock bits for those you mostly need on the regular. Then, the second bit magazine holds eight 1/4″ bits ideal for minor home repairs. Lastly, the third holds 14 4mm precision bits perfect for delicate tasks around electronics, toys, and eyewear. The tool also locks on 90° or 180° working angles.
The magazine snaps into the Apex V2 chassis via two hooks in a dedicated slot on the long end opposite the folded driver arm. With the magazine hidden from sight, the screwdriver appears as a single, flat piece of tool. The magazine flips out for access or detachment via a small release button and magnetically attaches to metal surfaces.
This EDC tool also integrates a few handy features into its frame. It has a ruler precision-machined in inches and millimeters on the chassis. An available square titanium extension arm also doubles as a bubble level and cuts half an ounce of the tool’s weight when used.
Apex V2 has machined ridges on its broad sides for better grip and each of the sides has slots for a tritium vial. This tool clocks in at just 3.86″ long when folded (pocket-knife size) and weighs 85 g (3.0 oz). It rides in your pocket via a removable pocket clip, ready for action any time.
