With an outstanding reputation for vacuum cleaners, Dyson has gradually expanded its repertoire with a slew of premium products. Among these are SKUs for hair care, air purification, audio, personal cooling, and more. The arrival of its R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV showcases what it does best.
Years of supplying the market with futuristic cordless vacuum cleaners are paying off big. You can say the British tech firm enjoys a lofty reputation almost akin to that of Apple. Taking its extensive knowledge and experience in household cleanup, the company is automating it beyond other robot vacuums.
Hinting at it in the name, Dyson is promoting the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV as a comprehensive package. The main unit measures 4.3″ x 14.5″ x 14.7″ and weighs 14.6 lbs. Meanwhile, the charging/self-emptying dock is listed at 18.6″ x 20.1″ x 17.4″ and weighs 44 lbs. The latter can store everything the robot vacuum collects for up to 100 days.
One of the canisters holds hot water to clean the roller upon docking, while the other dispenses cleaning solution. Dyson recommends its 02 Probiotic hard floor formula for the best results. So far, the Light Grey/Vinca Blue colorway reminds us of R2-D2 — the iconic Astromech droid from Star Wars.
The similarities do not go beyond cosmetics because this machine is for home upkeep. Dyson says the maximum suction power should be around 30,000 Pa. Furthermore, a double hygiene filtration system ensures dust and other particles do not escape back into the air.
What follows is a roller with a 12-point hydration system. Along with the UV light and sensors, the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV efficiently mops target areas without smears. Likewise, the anti-tangle brush bar is ideal for homes that have plenty of human and pet hair.
