Why book a stay at boutique resorts or high-end hotels when you can enjoy unique and cozy experiences elsewhere? At Twin Farms, there’s no need to travel internationally if you live stateside. This upscale establishment is in Barnard, Vermont, and offers all-inclusive getaways that also promote reconnecting with nature. In fact, we can choose from one of eight Treehouses.
For us guys, there’s no denying it. Even if given the option to stay at the most luxurious suite available, we’ll still choose the Treehouse. According to the operator, the detached units “conjure up childhood memories of adventure, companionship, and independence.” So far, it seems these adjectives are exactly what the boys want to hear.
Guests at Twin Farms can pick from several types of accommodations. You have the Main House, The Lodge, Farmhouse, Cottages, and Treehouses. As you can see, there’s something for everyone. Circling back to the latter, the designers are drawing inspiration from the Aviary Cottage. From a structural perspective, the rooms are cantilevered 20 feet above the ground.
“Designed by Michaelis Boyd, best known for its work with the Soho House Group. At the direction of one of the owners, the interiors embrace the Japanese aesthetic wabi-sabi, which celebrates the beauty of imperfection in nature — such as the mushroom wood cladding distinguished by knots and crags,” writes Twin Farms.
Each of the Treehouses features a gas fireplace, over 800 square feet of space, a private deck, organic-style furniture, a soaking tub, and other modern amenities. There’s also a ADA variant that’s accessible via wheelchair and equipped with grab bars wherever needed.
