Why do people go on vacations or sabbaticals? The reasons may differ, but it’s usually to take a break from work, enjoy the outdoors, or visit different places. While they’re at it, some even add wellness programs to fully rejuvenate and recover. If you’re open to suggestions, THE PASONA Natureverse Retreat is now ready to deliver world-class hospitality and more.
The blueprint for this establishment comes from Shigeru Ban. You can find it on Awaji Island, which is close to the port city of Kobe, Japan. “Wellbeing at THE PASONA draws on the Japanese concept of Mibyo, the philosophy that wellness is not merely the absence of illness, but a state that is continuously shaped by our lifestyle and state of mind,” as the overview reads.
Come to think of it, the concept makes sense. Why wait for symptoms to manifest and then go through treatment when you can take steps to prevent them in the first place? With this in mind, guests can choose between two breathtaking views depending on the type of accommodation. To the East, you have the sea-facing vistas courtesy of Ocean Deluxe rooms.
Meanwhile, guests in the Superior rooms get to see a lush landscape of trees and mountains as the windows open to the West. Other amenities include a fitness center, a social space called Hall Kimi, and the Thalasso Pool. The latter provides filtered and heated mineral-rich seawater, which apparently helps soothe joint pain and boost blood circulation.
“The Mibyo program begins by gaining insight into your current state. With a comprehensive assessment of nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress, dedicated Wellness Concierges provide guidance tailored to your individual needs and adjusted to your day-to-day progress,” writes THE PASONA.
