TiMate puts the pen in power with Verolite, a modular titanium pocket repair system designed to solve and not record problems. It does more than mark, but also illuminates and helps with minor handyman tasks. It packs more functionality than it looks, with a sleek frame that houses screwdriver bits, a pry bar, and more.

It’s a multi-tool pen made up of detachable magnetic modules that provide independent functions. One of the modules is a waterproof bit storage for three 4-mm bits, as well as a bit-style steel blade. The bit attaches to the integrated magnetic bit driver, ideal for quick or minor fixes, such as tightening or loosening screws.

Moreover, Verolite features a dual-ended module with a pencil-like graphite tip at one end. This pen provides about “10 miles of writing” without the need for sharpening. The other end is a carbide tip that can break glass during emergencies. It can also scratch or mark different surfaces, including metal and stone.

Additionally, there’s a waterproof flashlight module offering Low (9lm), High (150lm), and Strobe modes. A 40-minute charge of the built-in 100mAh battery runs a good 12 hours of illumination on Low and six hours on High. Aside from the magnetic connection, it also has a pocket clip for separate carry from the rest of the modules.

Lastly, there’s a pry bar module, a quintessential tool for just about anything. It can pry open cans and pull out stubborn nails. Verolite features a gear-inspired texture to the adjustment ring for enhanced grip and torque, especially when using it as a screwdriver. It provides more leverage and better control. This multi-tool pen is also sleek and lightweight at just 2.1oz.
