PeaCut V1 already lived up to the “small but terrible” definition, offering remarkable power in a pill-sized footprint. Its successor, the PeaCut 2.0, retains the same compact philosophy and material build. It still boasts a CNC-machined Grade 5 titanium body and a 440C stainless steel blade. But it now offers more blade security and a new blade design.
One of the biggest changes is the two-way bolt-action mechanism, which requires intentional blade deployment to prevent accidental opening. The slider, which deploys the blade, now requires a deliberate two-direction movement instead of one, without sacrificing quick, one-handed deployment.
Additionally, PeaCut 2.0 features a precision-ground mini reverse Tanto blade instead of the V-shaped edge milled out on the cylinder of the previous utility blade. The new design features a reinforced tip for higher piercing power and greater control. It makes everyday tasks like puncturing open cans and cutting through packaging tape easier and cleaner with minimal hand effort.
The blade also cuts leather easily. It is durable and tough, with excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance, while being easy to sharpen. Moreover, the new PeaCut can be equipped with either tritium or luminous tubes. Tritium tubes are self-powered and provide a soft glow 24/7 for up to 25 years.
Meanwhile, luminous tubes require a light source, either sunlight or a UV lamp, for them to glow afterward. The glow fades after eight hours in darkness. PeaCut 2.0 still offers versatile carry options: keychain, pendant, or zipper pull tab, and is available in different colorful, jewelry-like titanium finishes.
