The Mammut x Hiking Patrol Ducan 22 Backpack features technical materials in a stripped-down, minimalist design. Part of the collaborative collection called Just Wander, the design leans away from Swiss mountaineering outfit Mammut’s alpine roots. It presents a more casual profile, very low-key, but offers a perfect balance of functionality and durability on and off the trails.
Even the branding is low-key, with Mammut’s logo tucked subtly on the reverse of each piece. But its construction is where the collaboration shines. It’s not overly technical, featuring a breathable and lightweight shell for comfortable trips from the urban jungle to the outdoors and back.
Hiking Patrol founder Wai Tsui likened the pack’s versatile design to a “thoughtful companion.” It easily transitions from an everyday city carry to hiking gear. It adapts to the situation or when the terrain shifts.
The two-pound Mammut x Hiking Patrol Ducan 22 pack features organic seam lines to maintain a sleek silhouette. It also has a reworked, ventilated back panel system that enhances airflow. Meanwhile, paddings in strategic areas of the backpack not only provide cushion, but also reduce weight. Likewise, the integrated metal frame delivers optimum load transfer.
There are several integrated pockets to choose from, with the hip belt zipper pocket ideal for quick access items like your phone, watch, glasses, and more. It also has mesh pockets on the shoulder straps and water bottle pockets on both sides.
The Mammut x Hiking Patrol Ducan 22 backpack protects your gear from the rain with the integrated, detachable rain cover. It is available in two colorways: in Gabrro-Black and an off-white Sage Frost-Willow Whisper.
