Carmakers often churn out new models to provide consumers with fresh options. With luck, some of these end up gaining immense popularity thereby becoming a regular showpiece. On the other hand, the rest are sadly forgettable and never see the lights of a showroom floor again. That’s why companies are reliant on their iconic products to continuously attract buyers. Teasing its debut at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition already looks like a big hit in the making.

The Land Cruiser continues to be a fan-favorite for those who want a dependable SUV. The Japanese manufacturer understands and delivers all the bells and whistles that owners have come to expect. Meanwhile, the Heritage Edition takes everything that the standard trim features and spices it up in a big way. This special edition reportedly celebrates 60 years since the model’s debut.

One of the first few details that you can observe the set of 18-inch bronze BBS wheels. What follows is the removal of the lower body side moldings and running boards. Multiple black accents on the exteriors give it a sleek and stealthy vibe that makes it look classy.

No changes were made on the mechanical side. This means that it still runs on a 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 alongside an eight-speed automatic transmission. It seems that the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition also loses the third row of seats, which leaves enough room for five passengers only. The cabin flaunts black leather upholstery with stylish bronze stitching. Interested buyers can choose from Blizzard Pearl or Black Metallic color schemes with only 1,200 examples on offer.
