Don’t you just love concept cars? Not all even make it beyond the drawing board, but it allows the carmaker to show off their creativity. You’re looking at a sporty zero-emission machine from Alpine, which draws inspiration from the A310. They’re calling it the A310 VISION and hinting at a possible one-off prototype.
Perhaps if enough people collectively express interest in its purchase, the higher-ups might change their mind. Nothing is concrete just yet, but a man can dream, right? Anyway, the French marque confirms this rakish coupe is an eco-friendly ride. Automotive purists should be voicing their displeasure right now, but emission-free motoring is inevitable.
According to the press release, this unveiling commemorates the 55th anniversary of the four-cylinder A310 and the 50th of its V6 variant. Meanwhile, the A310 VISION is poised to become one of the major attractions at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. There’s still enough time to drop by the venue if you’re in the neighborhood.
This EV flaunts a sharp silhouette with an aggressive aero kit to enhance its retro-futuristic appeal. Its aerodynamic setup suggests this bad boy benefits from enough downforce to enhance its driving characteristics at high speeds. Gone is the 2+2 seating arrangement of its ICE predecessors, as the concept sticks with two this time around.
Details about the green powertrain are yet to be published, but we think the numbers will be impressive. A pair of wings extend just in front of the A-pillars to hold the rear-facing cameras of its side mirrors. The A310 VISION rocks a set of A-shaped rims with the bright red brake calipers peeking out. Ultimately, it’s a showcase of the Alpine Performance Platform (APP), a modular EV architecture.
