French camper manufacturer Beauer unveiled its largest expandable camper trailer to date at the 2026 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. Called Beauer X8, it spans 21.8 feet long, 6.7 feet wide, and 9.5 feet high when folded. But it expands up to three times its size to sleep up to eight people.

Its main body stretches to about 15.7 feet wide using a telescopic principle that expands two modules horizontally to create a larger interior living space. A 60-second press of the rear button activates the electric cylinders that start the transformation process. When in the folded state, the built-in furniture cleverly nests together to fit the compact space.

However, when expanded, the furniture automatically moves into place, creating distinct functional spaces. Beauer X8 is available in two layouts: one separates the kitchen from the living area, while the second brings the kitchen closer to the living space. There’s also a single-bedroom configuration.

The camper offers two bedroomsseparated by a two-compartment walk-in closeteach equipped with double beds and foam mattresses.  Meanwhile, the living area features two separate L-shaped seating areas in the lower section (one convertible into a sofa bed). The kitchen in the middle-left section comes with a refrigerator, sink, and a freestanding electric or gas cooktop.

The bathroom has a cassette toilet, a shower stall, and a vanity unit with storage, a sink, and a mirror. Beauer X8 is power-ready, with electrical plugs and LED lights. It offers options for AC, heating, a dishwasher, a TV, a washing machine, a backup battery, and more, to make it feel more like an actual home. It weighs 2,600 kg and has a 100 kg payload capacity.
