Trasco Bremen, the renowned high-end armored vehicle manufacturer from Germany, has come out with the world’s first armored version of the Aston Martin DB11, now available from James Edition.
Aston’s high-performance grand tourer has been upgraded with Trasco’s Q Line as an anti-kidnapping concept, designed to protect the car’s passengers with certified ballistic materials, like ballistic steel, in addition to composite materials fitted inside the doors. The car is wrapped with Level 4 Certified Ballistic Glass all around as well for optimum protection. The level of security incorporated in the design is so complex that it takes Trasco four to six months to produce the armored cars.
The armored elements don’t add much to the car’s overall weight, amazingly. The DB11’s armored materials only balloons the total heft to 330 pounds, and the vehicle’s gross weight remains unchanged. This way, Trasco preserves the original performance, driving dynamics, and ride comfort. You’ll barely see the armoring, too; Trasco designed it in a way to appear as invisible as possible, not interrupting the car’s original design.
Now, let’s talk about speed — the armored Aston Martin DB11 boasts a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine with 600 horsepower. You get lustrous black paint job outside, and a classy furnish of brown inside.
Striking the perfect balance between excitement, refinement, and protection, armored cars don’t get better than the Aston Martin DB11. This vehicle will save your life and make you look extremely cool while doing it. You’ll have to contact James Edition if you want to get an idea on the pricing, though.
