Dell Inspiron 14 Chromebook

You either love it or hate it, but the fact remains that Chromebooks exist. Also, it won’t be going away anytime soon. Most of the time these Chrome OS-powered computers are adequate enough for simple computing needs. This is why you rarely find ones that sport a premium build quality. There may be a few exceptions like the Google Pixelbook, and Chromebooks from Asus and Samsung. It comes as surprise for many in the tech industry that Dell is about to add one to its top-shelf Inspiron lineup.

Just like its high-end cousins, the Dell Inspiron 14 Chromebook is the brand’s upscale take on the cloud-computing device. It’s a 2-in-1 laptop that comes with a $599 price tag and is powered by Intel’s 8th-generation Core i3-8130U paired with a 4 GB RAM. You will find ample space with its 128 GB eMMC storage.

The 14-inch 1920 x 1280 resolution IPS touch display can fold all the way back to provide a tablet experience, while the keyboard is backlit to make typing in low-light conditions easier. Additionally, there is an EMR included that covertly stays hidden within the base.

Dell boasts that the Inspiron 14 Chromebook can manage a 15-hour battery life with typical usage. Wireless connectivity options are your standard Bluetooth and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. You will also find two USB 3.1 Type-C ports and a single USB Type-A along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Finally, everything is packaged into a slim aluminum frame that definitely feels premium.
