If you want to learn about the best vehicle brands that offer the best off-road performance, just ask enthusiasts. Chances are, a few names will be on the list, but expect to hear Jeep mentioned a couple of times more. The marque is normally synonymous with rugged and powerful machines that still provide outstanding comfort and control. The Jeep Wrangler Outpost II customized by American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) takes everything that makes the 4×4 great and adds a few more extras.
By default, the Wrangler is already a heavy-duty beast that happily tackles challenging terrain. It’s the ideal partner to transport you closer to nature for that unplanned day trip or weekend sojourn. AEV taps the potential to turn it into a hybrid four-wheeler that lets owners enjoy longer excursions in the wild. Therefore, the company customized the available rear passenger space and converted it into a compact camper.
The camper shell’s hinged roof is lined with solar panels to provide power for all electronics. Multiple storage spaces are available as well as additional seating space for more comfort. A built-in 22-gallon water tank complete with a pump is also on board. A sliding screen door and screen windows allow fresh air to circulate around the cabin. According to AEV, the Jeep Wrangler Outpost II is still in its concept stages with more improvements being planned in the near future. We can’t wait for this awesome ride to become available soon.
