After countless teasings, the final production model for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler is finally here and it’s as good looking as ever. The new range of mud hungry vehicles maintains the iconic utilitarian styling but adds a few modern upgrades to make it Jeep’s most capable SUV yet.
With a more streamlined design, the new 4×4 sports a lowered beltline, larger windows and an angled slot grille that improves aerodynamics, while the removable doors, top, and fold-down windshield remain the same as we know them. Power is delivered by either a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 270-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, or a 3.6L V6 with 285-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, with a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 also to become available in 2019.
Off-road skills are provided by Command-Trac and Rock-Trac systems, all-new Dana axles, Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case, improved crawl ratios, and up to 30 inches of clearance above the ground. Inside, you get a modern infotainment system, cloth or leather seats with lumbar support, and metal-plated details.
