adidas has done a pretty cool thing for some of Berlin’s residents. They’ve released a special sneaker that has an embroidered BVG annual ticket (for the underground railway, tram & bus) worth a considerable $890. Given that the shoe’s price is about $220, that’s a pretty sweet deal in our book. Of course, all 500 pairs released on 16 January are already sold out. The adidas EQT Support 93/Berlin features a black mesh surface, white BOOST midsole, the iconic three stripes in black – doubling as eyelets of the yellow shoelaces, and a contrasting white leather panel on the outside. As a special design element, this collector’s edition sneaker has a red, blue, and black camouflage pattern – the same found on the seat covers of Berlin’s public transport company.
