Debuted in 1958, the Super Cub has become an iconic presence with its simple no-nonsense urban look and practicality. This month, the commuter motor scooter has reached the 100 million unit production mark, and, to celebrate, Honda is producing revamped editions of both the 50cc and 110cc Super Cub models.
While retaining the sweet classic shape, Honda is inserting a number of more efficient, modern upgrades. The head and tail lights are now LED’s, while the four-stroke single-cylinder engine has been reworked with present-day bits in cluding a PGM fuel injection system and a two-stage catalytic converter in the exhaust system.
The new Honda Super Cubs will be available in an array of colors to choose from, and in both classic and professional models, with two engine choices available; a 3.7-hp 50 cc, and an 8-hp 110 cc. The professional version comes with 14″ wheels instead of the standard 17″ so as to make more room for the front and rear loading baskets. We’re also looking forward to seeing the electric version come to production soon.Learn More From Honda
