Based in the Rocky Mountains at Golden, Colorado, Spiderco Cutlery has spent 39 years pioneering such now-common features as pocket clips, serrations, and the opening hole. Now they have added a new member to their highly popular Native Series of folding blade knives.
The new Spiderco C229GS Shaman Folding Knife is a bit larger than the rest of the iconic series. It has a 3.58″ blade constructed of CPM S30V stainless steel given a satin finish, high saber grind, a very acute point, and either a serrated edge along the majority of the cutting length or a plain edge. It has a compression locking mechanism for a safe and secure fold.
The handle is made of skeletonized stainless steel liners wrapped in matte-finish G-10 scales with a stabilizing finger choil and finger groove. The four-position pocket clip allows for either left or right carry and points up or down for maximum flexibility. At just 5.2 oz. the Shaman is light enough to go anywhere.
