Kalium Labs knows that a speaker has to have an extra edge to stand out from the pack, so their new Sound Heroes Bluetooth Speaker ($100+) puts a futuristic spin on sound delivery. Standing tall in the form of a prismatic humanoid robot, the speaker comes in two sizes; the Prime measures 17.7″ and weighs in at 6.6 lbs with a 20W output, while the Premium is 28.3″, 12.1 lbs and kicks 60W of sound. The latter also features a wireless charger, built-in subwoofer, a WiFi range extender, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
The speakers also pack a smoke machine to set the mood for any intense party or robot-led rave. The party is kept alive by a Li-ion battery that runs the robot Prime for six hours and Premium for 8 with full sound and smoke going.
Arriving in 11 colors to fit any environment, the Sound Heroes speaker hopes to someday be joined by a life-sized version and interactive multimedia presence via a video game. For now, this metallic guardian will watch over your entertainment needs. Details in the video.
