With its vintage look and inviting sidecar, The Alpinist ($NA) is the kind of bike we’d love to ride for a week or two around the Austrian Alps, togeder with an adventure companion.
This stunner is based on a 1975 Moto Guzzi 850 T3, and is the work of NCT Motorcycles, a young outfit located in the beautiful Austrian region of Carinthia. Just like most customs you see around here, the bike was first stripped of its parts, revamped, and then rebuilt, to roll out as a one-of-a-kind 2 wheeler. The sidecar was already in place (with custom-made fenders and an Earles-style front end), so the guys at NCT joined a few details to it, including a custom-made carrier rack, a smaller windshield, chrome spotlight, turn signals and taillight.
Furthermore, the engine has been blasted and polished, the seats got new fabric, there’s new wiring, new taillight, turn signals & speedo, and high-performance parts like the Öhlins suspension and the Brembo disc brakes. Finished in a delicious red & white color scheme. [via]
