Revealed for the first time in 1968, this model was the world’s fastest production car of that era, sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and topping an incredible 174 mph. It offered cutting edge looks plus impressive performances, and it went on to become an inspiration for many future Ferraris. The Daytona had a front-mounted, 352 bhp, 4,390 cc DOHC V-12 engine with six Weber carburetors, a 5-speed manual transmission with gated shifter, 4-wheel upper & lower coil-spring independent suspension, and 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes.
The two-seater presented here has had the engine rebuilt (only 19,000 miles on it) by famous Ferrari specialist Patrick Ottis, and the interior upholstered in sumptuous tan leather, so it should keep the future owner riding in style for many years to come.
