Here’s a speaker to own if you live in a house with no neighbors around, so you can take full advantage of the massive 8,200 watts this bad boy delivers. Say hello to Bang & Olufsen’s Beolab 90 Loudspeaker ($39,000).
As a celebration of their 90th year ( hence the name ) of producing top-notch audio equipment, the Danish company created what they claim to be the “most complete and powerful digital loudspeaker” ever made for private use. Displaying a sleek and captivating design, typical of the brand, the Beolab 90 packs no more than 18 drivers: seven tweeters, seven mids, three woofers and one front woofer – all run by individual amplifiers. The 50-inch-tall, 302 lb monstrous speaker can also be set ( via the smartphone app ) to deliver the sound in a specific direction, or optimized for ‘360 degree’ listening, using the “Beam Width/Direction Control”. The Bang & Olufsen Beolab 90 will be available from November 2015, so you can start saving and buy it for yourself as a nice Christmas present.
