If your Merc’s horse power doesn’t quite satisfy you, hand it over to Germany’s best tuner of such vehicles, and they’ll bump things up “a little”. That’s exactly what happened to the latest Benz model – it received visual, aerodynamic&performance upgrades, plus a new name: Brabus Mercedes-AMG C63 S ($TBA).
To begin with, Brabus added the PowerXtra B40 engine tuning kit, which takes the stock twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 from an already massive 510 hp (516 lb-ft of torque) to an insanely massive 600 hp (591 lb-ft). The result is a sprint time of 0-62 mph in a mere 3.8 seconds and an increased top speed of 186 mph. Aerodynamic improvements include a custom spoiler lip, surrounds for the air intakes, and a diffuser and a rear spoiler, all made of clear-coated or matte carbon fiber.
The upgraded C63 S wears 20-inch Brabus alloy wheels with carbon-fiber inlays, wrapped in your choice of Continental, Pirelli or Yokohama tires. A range of exquisite materials are offered for the interior, such as Mastik leather and Alcantara, with wood and (more) carbon fiber accents, in any desired colors and finishes. We have to agree, the AMG C63 S just got a helluva lot more interesting.
