After many teasers, Samsung has officially revealed the much-hyped Galaxy S6 Edge ($950,00+), at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Refining their top-end Galaxy, this smartphone is the most visually stunning device the company has ever produced.
Undoubtedly, the stand out feature of the S6 Edge is its curve-edged display (made from Corning Gorilla Glass 4) which flows down both sides of the phone, providing access to all sorts of handy widgets and clearing up space on the screen. Ditching the cheesy plastics found in previous Samsung products, the new smartphone features a glass and aluminium body, providing a premium feel.
Good looks checked, now let’s move on to the technical stuff! The Galaxy S6 Edge packs Samsung’s latest octa-core processor running Android 5.0 Lollipop, an internal memory of 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB; 3 GB of RAM, a 16 megapixel rear camera, a 5 megapixel front camera, support for both WPC and PMA wireless charging, and a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a very high pixel density of 577 ppi. You won’t find a micro SD slot, a user-accessible battery, or water proof skills (all features we hope to be added in the future). Available starting April 10 2015, the Galaxy S6 Edge will come in 5 colors: white pearl, black sapphire, gold platinum, blue topaz and green emerald.
