To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their iconic 911, Porsche has introduced a brand new Targa at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. As you might expect, the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS ($TBA) comes with open-air driving, all-wheel drive, and a sporty exterior that boasts a wider rear than its predecessor, giving this sleek machine an even more muscular look.
Rolling with Porsche’s GTS line features, under the hood lies a 3.8L boxer engine with 430hp coupled to a 7-speed manual or automatic gearbox, blasting 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 186 mi/hour. Other specs include a sporty front fascia, sport exhaust system, 20-inch wheels, tinted Bi-Xenon headlights, plush interior covered in black Alcantara, a Targa roof (which opens or closes fully automatically in 20 seconds), and 12 optional Bose speakers that provide a hair raising output of 445 watts!
