Okay, here´s the thing. I am not a massive fan of the Porsche 911, yes take me out and shoot me. Sure, I really admire the precision German engineering and the drive quality, but the design has been too static down the decades for me to really appreciate. Indeed, give me a 60´s or 70´s 911 over the modern versions and I would be happy. However, one 911 gets me swooning and that is the Targa.
The new 2014 Porsche 911 Targa 4 ($102,000) is the most beautiful 911 on the market and it is a stunning looking sports car in its own right. Of course, the main difference between a Targa and a normal 911 is the removable roof that lets you get the breeze in your hair when hitting the highway or mountain roads. It is also the reconfiguration to accommodate the roof that turns the 911 into a good looking car, but there is more to this auto than just looks.
The roof is fully automatic, and when down the 911 Targa 4 is gorgeous, while under the hood there is a 350 hp motor producing 287 lb.-ft. of torque from a 7 speed transmission. With classy looks and true sports car performance this is a very desirable car indeed.
