For yours truly, the Ford Mustang has always been a car that divided emotion. Sure, the original Mustang´s are automotive classics and style icons, but after that Ford sullied the name with a string of average cars. The fifth generation of the Mustang addressed that balance somewhat and was a very good looking car, but slightly unrefined to drive. The 5th gen of the most famous Pony Car of them all is now being laid to rest as Ford pulls out all the stops for the car´s 50th anniversary.
The 2015 Ford Mustang ($TBA) is straight away one of the most striking large sports coupes we have ever seen, offering the imposing stance we have come to expect from the stallion, but also having a Maserati or Jaguar style. Utterly gorgeous on the outside and typically ferocious under the hood thanks to a 5.0-liter V8 engine that will deliver ample power between the lights. Ford is modernizing the Mustang too by offering a 2.3 liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost, and we have it on good authority that this will be the most advanced driving experience ever in a Mustang.
