We are pleased to announce the latest project of the British team Old Empire Motorcycles: The Ducati 900SS ‘Typhoon’. This eye treat of a bike is based on a ‘95 Ducati 900ss, boasting a high performance 904cc air-cooled L-twin engine, and it looks like it belongs to a modern art museum.
The first detail that appeals to our eyes is the handmade custom brass headlight, along with that awesome Girder fork front end. Other superb details include a custom speedo and tacho set-up, the 21’’ front wheel quad leading shoe drum brake, custom bars, a bevel gear throttle, twin Amal GP3 carbs and a custom stainless exhaust system. Oh, and we have to mention the stunning hand made seat and fuel tank with cooper plugs, as well as the extended (and tasteful) use of brass and leather all across the bike. A masterpiece! In the words of OEM’s Alec Sharp: “It’s one of those machines that you only really feel comfortable on at speed, tucked in, feet up on the go-faster pegs and laid down over the tank. On that subject, it’s still insanely fast, loud and handles surprising well.” Well done, boys! via
