In this writer’s humble opinion, the standard Ferrari 458 is the best car currently available, a combination of great performance and stunning looks that hark back to the company’s halcyon days. However, that does not say there is no room for improvement, and if any car brand has proved adept at making awesome cars even better, it’s Ferrari.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale can be viewed as a car for the purist, for those who think a Ferrari’s true place is on the race track. This model sees the company refine the performance and aerodynamic nature of the 458 and deliver exocet like power from the V8 Berlinetta in the rear. Ferrari claims the 458 Speciale is the most aerodynamic car it has ever made, but don’t worry because it still carries plenty of those sexy lines from the standard edition.
While top end speeds will be bettered by a host of supercars, we suspect on the track when this slippery car can lay its power down, it will be a match for anything with four wheels.
