For those who have been living under a rock, the BMW I8 SPYDER Concept is the most advanced car yet. It features a 170HP electric motor which powers the front wheels and a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine powering the rear wheels, producing a combined 349HP and 406LB-FT of torque.
The I8 Spyder concept manages a 0-60 in under 4.9 seconds, and top speeds of 155MPH thanks to the car’s lightweight and a 50/50 weight distribution. The I8 electric motor range is about 20 miles, before the gas three-cylinder kicks in, achieving an impressive 78MPG.
