Winnebago is a name synonymous with recreational vehicles for over a half-century. But now we are in the 21st Century and Winnebago is becoming less like a house on wheels and more like an adventure vehicle. The new Winnebago Revel 4×4 Camper Van is made to go just about anywhere and leave you there comfortably.
The camper is based on the 144″ Mercedes-Benz 4×4 Sprinter and given a 3-liter turbo diesel engine and ‘on-demand’ four-wheel drive. Inside, the Revel shows it has all the functions of a motor home in a van. The kitchen includes an induction cooktop and water filtration system while the front seats swivel into the main dining area with both folding table and dinette. The sleeping area has a motorized lift to bring the two-person bed up and down at the push of a button.
Other specs include a 200-watt roof-mounted solar panel system, an optional electric awning with LED lights, a 6″ touchscreen infotainment center, rear-view camera, keyless remote entry, and an option for Bluetooth navigation. While the Revel is quite expensive, there is the comfort of knowing there are reputable Winnebago dealers nationwide for service and repairs along the way.
