The CRKT Snap Lock Knife ($42) is unusual enough that it won the Most Innovative Knife Award at The Blade Show in 2004. Now, this unique folding knife designed by custom knifemaker Ed Van Hoy is being reissued.

The knife is a Rotating Snap Lock (RSL) that features a cam-locking system with dual thumb screws for opening with either right or left hand. Rather than flipping up and out, the blade swings around 180° from the side and then locks in place. With the handle clip removed, the blade will swing around a full 360° since the handle is an open framework. This skeletonized design allows for ambidextrous use of this very light everyday carry knife.

Made of durable stainless steel with a bead blast finish and a plain edge, the CRKT Snap Lock knife features a removable stainless steel clip that can be switched to either side or can function independently as a money clip. Weighing in at just 2.5oz, this intriguing pocket blade will never be a burden to keep around. Details in the video. [via]
