João Barranca of Coimbra, Portugal, runs his company, Redonda Motors as an after-hours endeavor, but custom bike enthusiasts are beginning to think he should go professional after seeing the Italian style work he did on this Mille GT.

He took the original 948cc engine, lightened the flywheel, and upgraded to a modern distribution system.  A Keihin FCR40 carburetor and an external oil filter kit make the 67 hp output quicker and more reminiscent of a racing bike.  A custom exhaust was designed to “create beautiful bass.”

While the tank is original, both fenders are new, and a reworked suspension is also in place, along with upside-down Showa forks, 6-piston calipers, a Nissin radial pump, two 330mm discs on the front & Öhlins shocks at the rear.  The front fairing and headlight combination are unusual  (and we love them), while the unique tail piece was created to match the tank & give balance to the overall racing bike look.  Finished in an elegant color scheme, inspired by the Moto Guzzi brand colors.
